Advent Day 2 Matthew 8:8

The centurion answered, "Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof;, but only speak the word, and my servant will be healed." - Matthew 8:8

Each time we say, "Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and I shall be healed" before we receive Jesus in the Holy Eucharist, it reflects our humility and recognition of human imperfection. During Advent, this acknowledgment deepens as we prepare for Christ's coming. It's a season of reflection, inviting us to embrace our limitations and seek spiritual renewal. By acknowledging our "nothingness," we open ourselves to the transformative power of Jesus, allowing His grace to fill our lives. Advent encourages us to strive to imitate Christ's love and compassion, fostering a deeper connection with Him as we anticipate His arrival.
